20 inch rims and tires

20 inch rims and tiresIn the world of custom chrome rims the one size rim that has to be considered as the predecessor to all other custom rims is the coveted 20 inch rims and tires. If you are into custom rims and tires then chances are you like 20 inch rims as one of your favorite sizes. Considering the fact that there are so many larger sizes available for purchase these days 20 inches seem pretty small in comparison. Never the less they are still very stylish custom wheels and still very nice looking on almost any vehicle.

Of all the new products that are currently available for your vehicle perhaps the most appealing thing about 20 inch rims is the simple fact that they are now so cheap. I mean when you go to a shop the first thing that you will notice is the fact that there are always huge discounts being given on this size wheel. All manufacturers are well aware of the fact that most consumers are flocking towards the larger sized wheels these days, so they are practically giving away most rims in the 20 inch model line. The cool thing is that there are now actually even plenty of tire companies pairing up their tires to sell with the rims as packages.

I myself personally prefer alloy rims above all other styles. The one thing about this is that they will not come cheap no matter where you shop at. All the big companies know that there is a large market for alloy wheel so they rarely discount the prices of them. A close second to these and chrome wheels would most likely e the black polished whees that seem to have become so widely popular all of a sudden. A couple of years ago a lot of people were interested in spinning rims but all of a sudden they just disappeared. The fad became about as unpopular as quick as they became popular.

There was however a time when 20 inch rims were actually considered to be “big.” That time has been long gone though.  With 26 inch rims even being considered as small these days compared to all the larger sized rims it is easy to see that there are not to many car owners that are going to be rushing out to buy a set of 20s any more. Save the few people who own vehicles that will not fit any thing larger on them. The fact is that most people, especially SUV owners will not want something that will not fill up there entire wheel well.

Car companies have even adapted to the trend of bigger being better also. If you take a close look at the automotive industry you will notice that manufacturers are making their vehicle to specs that include larger wheels and that doesn’t just mean trucks and SUV’s either. In fact most sedans are coming off of the showroom floor complete with a set of 30 inch rims and tires as a part of the standard package. So it is easy to see that although they might not be the creme de la creme of custom rims any more, 20 inch rims still do and always will have their place in the world of car customization.
